Quick Model Strike GundamThis is the Strike Gundam from the Gundam Seed Quick Model line, I was curious so I bought 2 of them. This one and the Duel Gundam. Upon opening the box I immediately found out that this was not really a model, but more of an MSIA that you build yourself. The figure is made of the same materials as the regular MSIA's. The only difference is that the joints, which requires some assembly, is made of ABS plastic. Actually I feel that these are the real MSIA's of the seed line rather than the Advance MSIA's, since the scale for these figures are more in line with the regular MSIAs. Being an action figure rather than a model, I didn't feel the need to repaint it. What I set out to do instead was to make a small diorama so I could make it more presentable. The Diorama that I used is mainly made of plaster of paris. The raised detail was made out of small rocks I got from my backyard. I painted the diorama with green and brown poster color and then sprinkled the surface with some modelling grass to achieve a forest soil effect. I also added a small model tree to complete the forest terrain effect that I am creating, and also to show a sense of scale betwwen the models and the surroundings.
