1/144 HGUC Char's Gelgoog (Gelgoog Marine Conversion) This is the HGUC Gelgoog Marine modified as Char's personal gelgoog. I actually have 2 Gelgoog Marines, this one I got from a friend who broke it's hip ball joint, so I fixed it and decided to convert it to Char's variant. Major modifications done are mainly with the head, backpack, and weapons. I "stole" a head fin from the SD Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog and glued it to the forehead to distinguish it as a commander's unit, then I replaced the original backpack with the one that I "stole" again from the SD JR's Gelgoog (which seems to be just the right size! LOL!). The customized beam rifle came from the old Garibaldi Beta kit, I sanded the handle to fit the size of the gelgoog's hands and drilled a hole on the side of the backpack to attach the rifle mount. The beam naginata came from the F-90 kit's beam sabers that were glued together, and the shield came from the Turn A's shield which was modified, puttied, and drilled to look like the MG gelgoogs shield. I handbrushed the model entirely using Gunze Sangyo's Mr.Color. I used metallic red on the torso and the shield, and a customized mix of 80% metallic red, 15% yellow and 5% white, for the limbs and the head. I used flat black for most of the trimmings, and used a customized "Gunmetal" color which was a mixture of 70% metallic black and 30% silver for the weapons, joints and the internals. I then used some of Gunze's thinned down Flat base to attain an even flat finish and weathered it using my patented "Pseudo Max Technique". Finally I attached some left over wet transfers and decals, and sprayed the entire model with a final coat of Mr.Super clear flat.
