1/144 Sazabi Review
The Sazabi is the Last Mobile suit that Char Aznable used against Amuro Ray in their final battle in the Movie Char's Counter attack. Being the last mobile suit that Char used, it is perhaps also the most powerful as it was equiped with the latest psycommu system, and the psycoframe cockpit which enabled the new type pilot to control the fin funnels at a much wider range and much more accuracy. It is also equiped with a Mega Particle Cannon located at it's belly, that could easily destroy several mobile suits within it's range with one shot. The MSN-04 Sazabi is truly an astounding mobile suit, with matching looks to boot, unfortunately the 1/144 Model kit representation of this mobile suit isn't too accurate, and fares quite poorly. Considering that this is an old kit it is excusable, but it would take a lot of work to make it look anything like an accurate representation of the Sazabi. Char's Counter attack model series is the transition from the glue together era to the snap together era. these kits are almost entirely snap together, but some parts still require glue. They are kits not for the novice modeller or people who don't want to get their hands dirty, as these kits greatly require paint and some modifications. The Sazabi is well molded, the main drawback is that the color is not right, meaning you absolutely need to paint it. Then there is this bad case of gorilla arm, mainly because of the wrong design (what were the designers thinking?), not to mention the small and disproportioned head, no waist mobility and no skirt armor mobility. But it does include nice manipulator hands and nicely proportioned overall mean look to it. Weapons load out consists of a beam shot gun, a beam sword, a beam tomahawk, a big shield, and 6 non posable fin funnels. Overall this kit needs a lot of work, experienced modellers can turn this into a great model, but newbies will be having a hard time. Not recommended for non painters.
